Project Title: Process development and scale-up of industrial coatings using the pp-MOCVD technology

Johann did his undergraduate and Masters degree in Chemical Engineering from Grenoble INP, France. He carried out his Masters thesis research in the antimicrobial TiO₂ research group. Johann’s work involved modelling of the deposition processes. He developed a model of the expansion mass transport and coating into internal features. He also developed a model of the nucleation in the pulsing regime. Both of the models used the cellular automaton approach. Johann also led the research team’s Design of Experiment process and performed the statistical analysis of the results.
