Samuel's Story
After my BSc. at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Ghana (in 2001), I went to Germany to pursue a M.Sc. degree in Energy Systems at the Aachen University of Applied Sciences. After graduation in 2004, I decided to do a PhD, so I looked in the internet for the right people and came across Dr. Susan Krumdieck as one of the few people doing Energy
Systems research, i.e. looking at energy supply security, economic viability, environmental protection and society acceptability all together. She offered to accept me into the group and I would like to say that I am enjoying my stay in the AEMS group, special thanks to her.
